Okay so now we know how the Trident came to be. Looks like this is basically a reunion site and a ‘where are you now’. Any wedding in Hawaii has got to be a good thing. How did that marriage end up BTW?

Hi Richard, sorry it took so long to reply. I retired as a bus person in 2003 and took an early retirement. I started to collect my social security benefits at 2003 when I made 65 years old. I don't work at all and thanks to my good investment with my tips and wages into the stock market and now I can just kick back and smoke those good herbs. Melvin/Jiro

I knew that the party at The Trident was the end of the night for Mick's B-day and why Patrick, Robin and Linda weren't there.. I was doing both Robin's and Patrick's earlier commitment so they could be at The Orphanage. I had been working at The Orphanage before I got The Trident job and saw many incredible events there, I saw Lisa Sharp back stage there for The Tubes record release party, and may have been told about a job at The Trident because Tom Doyle had been roadie for The Tubes when I was at Sonoma State.. what a tangled web we weave..

Go back to The Artista Gang and talk to Larry Noggle. His name is on the T-shirt artwork and he may have produced the shirts. He also did modifications to the menu artwork. Did he put together the famous menu artwork?
How many psycho-active plants can you find on the menu? I see eight or nine on mine. The menu art also includes a modified art nouveau poster from 1901 for coca wine.

Hey Teren, don't believe it was Alton and Stanley. Alton passed away a year ago. A very kewl tribute site to Alton Kelley is at www.ArtistaGang.com (the links here don't connect/you'll have to type the web site in the URL yourself)And, if you go to the 1984 article, at the bottom, is a link to a new Artista web site being built by the Dead's web site guy Keith Impink. This weekend, with the Steve Miller Band, are doing a fund raiser for Artista Norton Buffalo who just passed away. It's at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. Steve Miller, Huey Lewis, Bonnie Raitt, and many more are helping out. On the Artista Gang web site is more info. Alton Kelley created the Artista group here in Marin, and it's exploded across the country and beyond. Basically just a bunch of old farts having a good time...
